Day 83. – Solo Sunrise

It was like any other Tuesday. Expecting the waves to break nicely and clear Bondi water. Which is exactly what happened. For Christmas, my sister picked me up a new GoPro mount and today was a pretty good day to trial it (more to come).

Day. 82 – Still-ness

It’s early.. and the sunrise won’t stop beaming through my window. Maybe I’ll get up and catch up with the paddle training group, then come back and nap? Maybe I’ll just sleep in…

One foot in front of the other, repeat. It’s a long walk to these falls plus we’re going rouge track for a bit. Get your feet ready.

Day 80. – New Year Same Beach

With somewhere between 20 to 25 thousand beachgoers coming through, the patrol today racked up 64 Rescues and 350 First Aids (mostly from the bluebottle swam) Plus a heli-rescue on the south cliffs. Day 72. – The Morning Off

I tried, I really did. I’ve got the morning off – and going to bed I told myself, sleep-in tomorrow because I’ll need it. But it’s too hard to sleep with the waves crashing on my window at 6am. Surf was pumping and here are a few photos of the morning.

Day 70. – The Pretty Beach

Pack the tent and the inflatables swans, meet the crew and don’t forget the speakers. Spending the weekend down at the south coast with kangaroos, possums, mates, swans, stars, sunsets, and sunrises had all. The pool toy swans worked great but the inflatable mattress had issues with holes. No problem, jump in the hammock and watch…

Day 69. – Shark Buoy

Heres how my mornings usually go. Sleep -> Sleep. But this morning it was a paddle to the shark buoy. Bringing the GoPro along to see what was waiting for me (spoiler: it was just deep water but the photo’s looked good!).

-
Day 66. – Rain//forests

It’s been too long since I’ve had leeches housed up on cold muddy feet – Today we found ourselves stuck and seeking shelter from a storm under the Macquarie Pass waterfall. Even in the wet that national park is a good amount of fun, danger and mud.
