A new way to Return and Earn by combining Recycling and public transport.

The Brief: The hugely successful Return & Earn over the last 4 years has hit 8 Billion bottles recycled and raised +$30mil for charities. Currently users are offered a cash out option which prints a receipt OR displays the option to donate to charity. Return and Earn have even bigger goals for 2023 and require a solution to scale the project and encourage more users.

The Answer: Enter the Recycle and Ride initiative. Partnering with the Public transport industry – Bottles can now be used to top up trainsport cards (ie Opal, touchcard etc). This initial required branding and rollout with a simple distilled message leading towards recyclable bottles and cans illustrated with transport maps.
