Getting everyone together to save the possums jumps from being destroyed by NPSW. Good times!
-
Day 209 – Riding Around

It’s been a busy few weeks with Bianca and I managing to clock up some serious km’s on the bikes. We’ve managed to take the camera out a few times now to capture a fair few good shots. Below is a mix of Wollongong and Canberra. Including the Camping Pajero SWB rig.

Day 208. – Minnamurra vibes

Dragged out of the house running on 60% due to recent big weekends. Time for some relaxing rainforest vibes
-
Day 207. – Bronteeee

Bronte AM never fails to provide the goods. This morning we’ve got a really nice and warm morning. Brought the bike along to get a ride home in. This time of year is a bit weird – we’ve got sunrise around 5am which gives a good 3hrs until getting ready for work.
-
Day 205. – The 20 at Mittagong

It’s a bit too wet to climb anywhere. Except Mt Alex at Mittagong which somehow manages to be the driest place on earth. Diego managed to get his 20 sorted clean which is a monster effect.

Day 197. ROADTRIP Pt. I

Time to head north. Load up the bike and check the clamps are tight for the rooftop tent. With Newcastle too smokey and burnt out to stop – we’ve pitted in for breakfast just near Forsters Beach for a beach BBQ. Keeping north we’ve stopped in at the pub near Hat Head Caravan Park, got…
-
Day 194. – Beach-Haven

It’s one of those beachy afternoons. Usually with a bottle of wine and some snacks followed by a snorkel off the rocks. Except we’ve just camp back from the Hunter Valley and still full with wines and snacks (chocolate mostly). Sunsets are getting better and better on the north rocks – lining up to be…

Day 184. – Another Weekend Away

It’s that time again for another trip up to the mountains – this time for a solid project we’ve been working at Victoria Falls. Coupled with a bit of offroading action through the trails we packed the car more that a 24 pack of chicken nuggets. Great weekend with great people – *bought a mountain…
-
Day 183. – Mitta-going-gong

Another weekend spent on the wall, this time at Mittagong. It’s windy out today and we’re going to chance it heading up to project some 20’s. It’s looking like a solid evening spent going up these walls with laughter and falls to be had.
-
Day 179. – Big Wave Bondi

Those are big waves. I’ve only got a rescue board – I’m not going out there. Instead, I’ll swim and float around until sunset when the drone can come out to play. We’re now moving into winter – anyone else feeling that cold chill? It’s warmer in the water than out.
-
Day 177. – Kangaroo Point Crag

Moments like this are rare. Those moments when you don’t realise you’ve accomplished something that in the past you had thought wouldn’t be possible. We moved around a lot and I was lucky enough to do my uni days up in Brisbane. With no friends except my family and my bike to get me around. Mum,…
-
Day 174. – Red Clouds

Let’s get this bread. with the sun rising later and later in the morning today we had some high and low clouds putting on a good show. To add to the fun our water temp. is so warm it’s hard to make a valid reason to get out and go to work.
-
Day 171. – Farm (Re)fresh

Pack your things and get in the car, we’re stopping for chicken nuggets on the way but be warned. We’re heading 4hrs inland where it’ll be isolated and quiet. Sounds perfect – can’t wait. Sunrise over the valley is amazing – plus the wildlife is something else. We saw Roos and a huge wombat hole…
-
Day 170. – Laneway 19′

If I could end my weekend with Gang of Youths – Mongolia for the rest of my life i’d die a happy man. Laneway was chill and intense this year, with Skegss, What So Not, Smith Street and Gang of Youths all with good sets. Did want to give a huge thanks to soft breezes everywhere,…

Day 154. – The Rough Stuff

Body clock is a weird concept. I have limited control over my ability to wake up… if the sun is up then I’m up. Today was a 6am to the beach, catching the first dark rays across the bay. The washed out coastline proved interesting, a few surfers attempted but not much to be done…
-
Day 149. – Bondi 33

It’s 33 degrees today – the first actual heat we’ve had in a long while. For a Friday this is great news.. pack your summer bag, grab the togs and gogg’s and get out to the beaches this weekend. This morning was an early 4am wake up to make it to the beach in time (I’m…
-
Day 136. – Pearl Harbour

Try not to take too many photos – Pearl Harbour is an active naval base… actually, this entire island is. Along with multiple jet flyovers, just the other night camping we woke up to turrets firing across the valley.
-
Day 135. – Ka’au Crater Trail

I’ve never hiked a Crater, but I’ll be doing them way more often if they’re this much fun. Ka’au Crater Trail goes up and around the entire perimeter of a Volcano then declines via a series of waterfalls. Overall pack for a long day – because it took us 8hrs and finished the last 1km…
-
Day 130. – Take The Mustang

Always the Mustang. Take it to the Party and sleep in the back. In the morning go chase waterfalls until the 24hrs ride is over because you start work again in 2hrs
-
Day 129. – Carving Up Tennessee Caves

Turn your head torch off and it’s so dark your brain will start playing games. You might think you can see your own hands but with .0% light in this cave, it’s only your imagination. It’s also dead silent too: so quiet that if you listen hard enough you’ll hear your own heartbeat. Also, so deep…
-
Day 125. – Pack For Foley Beach

Pack everything… we’re leaving late afternoon and heading coastal. It’s a surf trip and we’ve got the car, surfboards and big smiles. Coach managed to snag a few waves but the surf isn’t anything to write home about. It’s good that the pier and a sunset delivers!
-
Day 120. – Colour Wars

It’s tense and we’re all itching to get out of training and hit the ground running with our jobs here at CCB. To break it up we’ve got an afternoon obstacle course that includes a tough mudder run, forest fire-starting (.. in the rain) and a rafting battle. Oh and paint, lots of body paint.
-
Day 118. – Hiking With Storm Alberto

Where I’m currently staying is not even close to the main subtropical storm (in North Carolina) but I’ve never witnessed such heavy and consistent rain. Still, rain won’t stop us from getting out on a good hike on the short break I have. The Brevard area is spectacular with a habit of starting sunny and…
-
Day 114. – Living On A Foggy Cloud

Settled yet? how’s the food? Don’t forget breakfast is at 8am. On the way up to breakfast it’s pretty nice, pack a camera for the short walk.. and maybe a drone to get all that foggy AM light. Also, food makes everyone happy.. try get those smiles.
-
Day 100. – Cya Sydney

How to spend your last day in Syd: Get in the car, drive the 45 min trip to those crystal clear eastern suburbs beaches and be sure to find the longest free car space available. Surf until your arms become spaghetti, get midday drunk and be sure to nap in the sun, ending with a…
-
Day 99. – Midday Icebergs

For those unfamiliar, Icebergs is a large oceanside pool and dining area on the beach in South Bondi and usually, I’m never here at this time. It’s 11am on a work day and I get to shoot my beach photos and surf with big waves. Mostly the best part of today has been swimming here at…
-
Day 98. – Rock // Pools

Sunday evening is usually for preparing for the work week. Although if you’re not employed anymore (..like me) this time can be enjoyed shooting around some rock pools.
-
Day 95. – Climb Up / Dive in

Hey!? want to stop by Wattamolla Beach? oh, I think I even packed the camera.. okay, we’ve got a free hour, we can drop by and back home by 7pm. I might even climb and few trees and dive in around the rocks.
-
Day 75. – Street

Yesterday AM was a big one – too slow things down a little it was a quick dip and a shoot before work.
-
Day 71. – In’s And Out’s

Today is going to be lazy – I didn’t do training, I think I’ll be late to work (but I wasn’t), I’m going to party tonight and my growing workload won’t get any smaller (but it’s a great job). At the very least I took 16 photos that came out way better than expected! Can…
-
Day 58. – Back In Nam’

I’m back. Back from Vietnam – that was too much fun. Here’s a list of recaps: Boats – Waterfalls – Mopeds – Views – Temples – Zoos – Planes and Caves
-
Day 52 – Harbour Freeze

I don’t cope well in the cold; but with a clear sky and top of 17℃ today was a pretty good day.
-
Day 50 – Weekend Warrior

Only on weekends can you fit beaches & waterfalls in the same day. Going rough on the trail we broke down into the base of the waterfall on a closed track.
-
Day 46. – Them Holiday Feels

Turns out one of the James bond movies was shot in these Phuket islands and it’s easy to see why. Armed with a private boat we invaded the private beaches, sea caves and steep cliffs. Great scenery, 10/10.
