Day 143. – Fly By Farm Weekend

Just a quick weekend away on the farm. Plenty to do.. I mostly spent time napping and chasing cows. Highly recommend napping.

Day 142. – High As Bondi Kite Festival

It’s going to be one of those low key / low expectations kind of day. grab a nice breakfast and head into Bondi because you’ve got the Kite Festival kicking off. This festival blocks the entire eastern suburbs up and it’s what I enjoyed about living here, so many people from all stretches of the…

Day 128. – It’s A Rodeo

We’re running a bit behind today. So when we arrive be sure you take in as much as possible. Try to meet some locals, there should be a few family members in the crowd about to watch their son last the 8 seconds on the bulls… Or the market storefronts have some pretty good looking…

Day 122.- Aptly Named. Rainbow Falls!

Turn that radio up… ‘Call Me Maybe’ is pumping and the van full of kids know all the words. It’s a 45min drive so pack lunch for 13 and hit the path that circles Pisgah National Park. We’re on our hike and swim to Rainbow and Turtleback falls. Plus if there is the time we’ll finish…

Day 108. – Baseball Big Bash

Baseball is not like cricket, cricket you can enjoy both the batting and bowling team as they try to hit or wicket each other. Baseball is slow and nothing happens for hours – the atmosphere is incredible but after 2 hours we only scored 2 runs/points. Luckily we had great seats and a really nice sunset…

Day 101. – Kondalilla & Gardners Falls

No time to rest… [but that sleep-in was a great idea] we’re going waterfall hunting in the Glasshouse mountains. Gardners Falls first up which has a few perfect rope swings, followed by Picnic and Kondalilla falls. It’s too green in QLD now, I’ve nuked the greens in this series and they’re still too much! much.

Day 81. – Gerringong

One foot in front of the other, repeat. It’s a long walk to these falls plus we’re going rouge track for a bit. Get your feet ready.
-
Day 74. – The Race Is On

Squeeze in a training session after work, the day before – Because being prepared is half the battle. Get up and get on a rescue board because it’s time to race. “Do whatever you can to get across the bay before anyone else”. *no photos of the race. v difficult to shoot and paddle.

Day 72. – The Morning Off

I tried, I really did. I’ve got the morning off – and going to bed I told myself, sleep-in tomorrow because I’ll need it. But it’s too hard to sleep with the waves crashing on my window at 6am. Surf was pumping and here are a few photos of the morning.
-
Day 70. – The Pretty Beach

Pack the tent and the inflatables swans, meet the crew and don’t forget the speakers. Spending the weekend down at the south coast with kangaroos, possums, mates, swans, stars, sunsets, and sunrises had all. The pool toy swans worked great but the inflatable mattress had issues with holes. No problem, jump in the hammock and watch…

Day 69. – Shark Buoy

Heres how my mornings usually go. Sleep -> Sleep. But this morning it was a paddle to the shark buoy. Bringing the GoPro along to see what was waiting for me (spoiler: it was just deep water but the photo’s looked good!).
-
Day 67. – Bronze on Boards

The first morning in a long time the waves and temperature have been reasonable. Managing to somehow take a few photos riding to/from the club – It’s a big day and this is a good start.
-
Day 66. – Rain//forests

It’s been too long since I’ve had leeches housed up on cold muddy feet – Today we found ourselves stuck and seeking shelter from a storm under the Macquarie Pass waterfall. Even in the wet that national park is a good amount of fun, danger and mud.
-
Day 61. – Head To The Mountains

It’s still cold enough to justify a trip to the mountains – I generally only like going to the blue mountains when it’s winter. Something about the irrationally gusty winds and the minus temperatures, it must be good for the soul.
-
Day 57. – Ceres

Ceres are Australian underground music in its purest form. second time I’ve seen them now and both shows have been incredible, almost as good as their latest album. To add to this the Melbourne group have some good on stage banter which drives home that entertainment factor. *note to self: buy a flash.
-
Day 53. – Winter Gigs

Long Fridays at work are best when ended with a hardcore gig. Touché Amoré supported by Turnover at a new venue we quickly in love with.
-
Day 51. – Blurry Lights

It’s that winter time of year – it’s also the time when Sydney harbour becomes a light show for Vivid. I’m still not entirely sold on this festival; It’s not interactive enough. Wouldn’t it be mind-blowing to control the lights and shapes on the opera house? Or using the Vivid App to vote on what colour…
-
Day 47. – Jervis Bay

I’m not sure if I’m in the ACT or NSW, either way we performed a hit and run on the most peaceful place in Limbo. Sunsets/sunrises, volleyball and beach caves filled the two days of adventures. Also I found a baby beach Scorpion.
-
Day 42 – Cabin Fever

No time to explain just get in!… We’re going to travel through time on a musical journey. If this confuses you it’s probably because you didn’t attend the Hunter Valley Hot Dub Wine Machine event last weekend. With a torrential downpour forecast it did limit how far the camera could travel, but didn’t limit the amount…
