Day 195. – Rosa Gully

It’s windy, thinking this Rosa Gully would have some protection on either side we made our way down into the base of the ocean cliffs.. except instead of protecting us from the on shore wind, the walls acted as a funnel and gusted constantly.

Diego is a big flakey climb first up, 17 draws and pretty high he did questions the rope length a few times as he approached the top.

After top roping a 21 and cleaning the 18, I was ready for Pacific (18). This climb is a difficult start move AND very sandy. It’s like a private beach up there on some of those holds. Pushing through, climbing on ocean sandstone is always dodgy and constant thoughts of “I hope that can hold my weight / Does that sound hollow?” run rampant moving from hold to hold.

Max then sent the Pox climbing ride on the mouth of the Gully, which I would say is a 2 star 18. Loads of fun for what that it is and the photos always come out 10/10 (even on bad weather days).
