This weekends going to be a big one. One that includes but is not limited to; beers, MT biking, rock climbing, good friends, KFC, Mcdon’s (…and a bit of canned Tuna).
Loading up the car on Saturday we’ll begin at the local spot Mt Keira for a warm up. It’s been a while since our last outdoor project and this weekend our goal was to make the ~2hr drive down to Nowra for a few solid climbs. Vandaholics was the goal, a grade 18/19 that is hugely popular within the climbing community.
With Keira conquered and Diego shooting of some great photos of the Wollongong backdrop, we headed in for the night for a few beers and a BBQ dinner. With the goal to leave at 7am the next morning, we hit the road and shot down south to find an empty crag with Trent and Diego tied in, it was really nice for about 30mins until loads of loud and generally bad etiquette climbers turned up. Leaving gear in the wall and topping through anchors is a great way to leave a terrible impression and these guys aced it all.
After a solid warm up, we session Vandaholics with (almost) everyone

making the climb to the top. Anyone who didn’t make it is now dead to me (Cam.). With a storm rolling over to end the weekend trip, the drive home was one of those ‘I’m too exhausted to hold the steering wheel’ moments for sure.
