Day 139. – Secret Spots

We’re up on what I call the left side of the island (it’s East-ish side) which has homeless everywhere living in tents, but some of the best local people and even better beaches. We’ve managed to find an Airbnb Campsite amoungst a mango farm, with a shower, toilet and wifi – all this for $17USD.

This Island has too many secret spots… caves, forests and beaches all combine into a playground of island adventures and today’s spot you’ll need shade, it’s going to be hot and there aren’t any trees around to provide cover. Luckily, you’re brought your Eno double hammock, spare rope and a GoPro telescopic selfie pole – using these items you’re able to jimmy up a pretty good shade sail which allows you a morning of the entire spot to yourself. Heading up on the drive to Keawaula Beach we’ll drop in via the Kaneana Cave, a solid cave system which is 100m deep and pretty wide open… conveniently located on the side of the 2 lane road.
